We're always looking for great new cocktails to make with my whiskey and bourbon. Here's a few of my favorite recipes. Feel free to send me yours to info@oldhumbledistilling.com

The Perfect Manhattan

A simple, elegant classic.

  • 2 ounces Old Humble Special Reserve Whiskey

  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth

  • Two dashes bitters

Pour everything into a mixing glass, add ice, and stir well. Strain into a coupe, and garnish with a brandied cherry and a few drops of cherry juice.

The Old Fashioned

This is the apex cocktail, a simple combination of spirit, sweet and bitter. Arguments will go for days about simple syrup versus sugar cubes.

  •  Two ounces Old Humble Straight Whiskey

  • 3/4 ounces simple syrup

  • Two dashes bitters

Pour the whiskey and syrup into a rocks glass, then add the bitters. Stir briefly - never shake - then add a large ice cube and an orange peel for garnish.

Pineapple Whiskey Lemonade

What do you drink when it's too hot to drink? Try this refreshing whiskey cocktail when it's the heat of summer.

  • 1 1/2 ounces Old Humble Special Reserve

  • 2 1/2 ounces lemonade

  • 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice

Mix everything together in a tall collins glass, then add ice. Top with some club soda if you want some extra fizz, and garnish with a pineapple wedge. Make a giant batch by keeping the proportions the same.

The Boulevardier

First popular in the 1920s, this cocktail will make a comeback. Or else I'm going to grow a handlebar mustache.

  • 1 1/2 ounce Old Humble Special Reserve

  • 1 ounce Campari

  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth

Pour all the ingredients over ice in a mixing glass, then stir well. Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube. Add an orange twist for garnish.
